Which areas do you cover?

Are all the properties on your website listed with you?

Not all of them. We also work with partner agencies through a shared network on the Costa del Sol, so you can see a wide choice in one place. Whichever home you like, we arrange the viewings and guide you through the purchase.

What costs should I budget for on top of the price?

Buying in Spain involves taxes, notary and Land Registry fees, and usually a lawyer. The taxes are different for resale homes and new builds. Our buying costs calculator gives you an estimate for your case.

Do I need a Spanish lawyer?

It isn't compulsory, but we strongly recommend an independent lawyer to check the property and the contracts on your behalf. We don't give legal advice ourselves; we work alongside your lawyer throughout.

What is an NIE and do I need one?

The NIE is the identification number for foreigners in Spain, and you need it to buy a property. Your lawyer can apply for it on your behalf, so it's worth starting early.

Can I buy a property without being in Spain?

Yes. Many buyers handle much of the process remotely, with video calls, digital documents and, if needed, a power of attorney signed before a notary. Your lawyer will advise you on the best option.

How does the buying process work in Spain?

Usually in three steps: a reservation that takes the property off the market, a private purchase contract, and completion before a notary, where you pay the balance and receive the keys. Your lawyer checks everything before each step.

Can I get a mortgage as a non-resident?

Spanish banks do lend to non-residents, subject to their own criteria. We are not financial advisers, but we can put you in touch with a mortgage specialist.

Can I get alerts when new properties come on the market?

Yes. Create a property alert by choosing the area, property type and maximum price, and we'll email you new listings that match, at most once a day. It's free, and you can unsubscribe from any email.

How much is my property worth?
